This journey is unique, exciting and challenging at the same time. We are glad that we progressed from ground up and every step of the way necessary to successfully launch the YWBN Own the Bank Share Scheme.
Thousands of you stepped up to take the opportunity to get on a pathway into being a shareholder in South Africa by acquiring equity stake in YWBN share scheme aimed to build a bank, our own bank. We are happy to welcome you all in this great journey to deracialize and democratise ownership of the financial sector and turn it into one that reflects the country’s demographics and work for ALL South Africans.
We are full of gratitude for your kind patronage and sharing same vision. Most importantly, we are grateful for entrusting us with funds and responsibility to the realisation of the vision.
Moving forward, we will be engaging directly with all investors about progress to the realisation of the vision. This process will be administered internally until we submit a Section 13 application to the South African Reserve Bank.
